The Bifengmen Folk Culture Street extends from Bifengmen East Street to the east, from the west to the small hazelnut ditch, from the north to Bifengmen Road and from the south to the newly built residential area, with a length of about 1 km from east to west, a planning site of 48,000 square metres, a total building area of 65,000 square metres, a floor area ratio of 0.89 and a total investment of 398 million yuan.
The Bifengmen Folk Culture Street is based on the exchange and integration of the royal culture of the summer resort and the folk culture of the city, with ecological gardening resources as the base, focusing on the international and domestic cultural experience market, innovative boutique cultural experience, health entertainment and leisure, ecological holiday as the focus, shaping the brand image of "peachland outside the resort, leisure green garden", to create a collection of The project will create a demonstration area for tourism, folk culture experience, catering, shopping and recreation on the outskirts of the summer resort.
The overall architecture of the project consists of 16 single blocks, with a range of household sizes from 70 square metres to 1,000 square metres, and a free combination of shops to showcase the flexible space. The overall architectural design adopts the intention of the sloping roof of traditional Chinese architecture, with the roof and façade continuously integrated to form a strong sense of unity and design. The façade and roof materials are combined with wooden grilles to reinforce the intentionality of the traditional Chinese building materials and to make the building more lively. The façade design uses a combination of planar composition and long, square windows, together with a wooden corridor on the ground floor, to make the whole project more active and layered, and to enhance the overall commercial and cultural atmosphere.
The spatial structure of the project is based on the design of "one axis, two wings, two lines interlocking", which divides the project into six functional zones: public facilities zone (four-track kindergarten), leisure activities zone, leisure and shopping zone, tourism reception zone, special dining zone, and skills experience zone. The main axis is the Bifeng Gate, which connects a number of human and natural landscape nodes from north to south, while the east and west sides are dominated by various functional areas, with a zigzagging and changing east-west car line and pedestrian line, linking various plazas and green areas and functional zones, emphasising folk culture experience and recreation, and creating a bustling commercial atmosphere.
