Tianhe Shopping Mall was invested, built, developed and managed by Guangdong Tianhe (Group) Company Limited, with our involvement in the pre-planning and investment promotion. The occupancy rate of the shops in Teem Shopping Centre has been maintained at 100% since 1998. Since its opening in 1996 and up to May 6, 2004, the cumulative number of visitors to Teemall has exceeded 800 million, equivalent to 77.33 million people in Guangdong visiting Teemall more than 10 times each. On 1 October 2004, TEEMALL set another record high of 830,000 daily visitors. With an average annual footfall of 40 million at the West Edmonton Mall in Canada and 50 million at the Mall of America in the United States, the average annual footfall at Teem Shopping Centre is over 120 million, which is higher than the combined average annual footfall of the two largest shopping centres in the world. Such popularity is unique not only in China but also in the world of shopping malls.

It is located on the new central axis of Guangzhou city, in the heart of the Tianhe business district, close to the Guangzhou CBD Central Business District, Tianhe Sports Centre and Guangzhou East Railway Station, and near many university campuses in Wushan. Tianhe City is located at the intersection of two branch lines of Guangzhou Metro Line 3 and its interchange with Metro Line 1 and Guangzhou Airport Express, with more than 60 bus lines stopping here, making transportation extremely convenient.

On 14 March 2006, Starwood Hotels & Resorts International Group and Teem Group officially signed a contract for the arrival of SHERATON GUANGZHOU HOTEL in the West Tower of Teem Tower; on 21 January 2006, the grand opening of Teem Tower's O'Reilly Discount Store marked the breakthrough of Teem Tower from a single store to a multi-storey shop.
